Construction daily report app with signatures that can't be edited after signing
Once a Daily Report is signed, it can't be edited. A correction goes in as a new signed amendment, dated when it is signed, and the original is kept. Each signed report's PDF prints a SHA-256 verification fingerprint.
Daily Report is free on iPhone and Android with no account, for whoever writes the daily report: foremen, supers, project managers, subs, owner's reps and inspectors.

What signing does
- Your name and the date and time are recorded on the report, and so is the location when location is on.
- Tapping Edit on a signed report opens an amendment instead of changing the signed version.
- The PDF prints a line that reads "Verification: SHA-256" followed by a short fingerprint of the signed report, its photos and its recordings.
How an amendment works
- An amendment is a new version that you review and sign, with its own date and time.
- Its PDF is marked as amended, names the version it replaces and when that version was signed, and prints the earlier version's fingerprint.
- The original signed version is kept with it.
Questions
- Can anyone check the verification fingerprint outside the app?
- Not yet. The app computes the fingerprint when the report is signed and prints it on the PDF. A tool to check a PDF against it is not available yet.
- Can a signed report be deleted?
- Yes. The person holding the phone can delete a report and all of its versions. Send the signed PDF to your office so a copy lives outside the phone.
- Does signing work with no signal?
- Yes. Reports save on your phone, and you can sign and make the PDF with no signal.
- What does it cost?
- The app is free on iPhone and Android. Company plans are coming.
