Delete your data
Daily Report · Construction Copilot
Daily Report keeps your reports on your phone. There is no account and we keep no copy of your reports, so you delete them on the phone yourself. For what we do hold, such as our email list or a message you sent us, email us and we delete it.
Delete a report in the app
iPhone
- Open the project that has the report.
- Swipe left on the report, or press and hold it, and tap Delete.
- Confirm. The report, every version of it, and its PDF, voice recordings and photos are removed from your phone.
A temporary copy made when you shared a PDF can stay in the app’s temporary storage until your phone clears it or you uninstall the app.
To delete a whole project and all of its reports, swipe left on the project on the home screen, or press and hold it, and tap Delete.
Android
- Open the project that has the report.
- Press and hold the report and tap Delete.
- Confirm. The report, every version of it, and its PDF, photos, voice recordings and signature are removed from your phone.
A recording whose words had not yet been added to the report can stay on the phone, along with a temporary copy of a PDF you shared.
To delete a whole project and all of its reports, swipe left on the project, or press and hold it, and tap Delete.
Uninstalling the app removes everything, including these leftover copies.
Delete everything at once
Uninstall Daily Report. That deletes every project, report, recording, photo and PDF stored in the app, and we cannot recover them. Export any report you need to keep first.
Copies outside the app are not deleted:
- PDFs you shared. Reports you sent by email, text or another app stay where you sent them. Delete them there.
- iPhone backups. An iCloud or computer backup made while the app was installed can hold your reports and their PDFs. Voice recordings and photo files are left out of backups, but photos appear inside the PDFs. To remove them, delete that backup in your iCloud settings or on the computer.
- Android. The app opts out of Google’s automatic cloud backup. If you moved to a new phone with a cable or a transfer tool, the new phone may have a copy. Uninstall the app there too.
What leaves your phone, and what may be kept
When Cloud AI is on and you are online:
- iPhone sends the text of your report to our processing server on Cloudflare, which passes it to Google Gemini. Your audio stays on the phone.
- Android sends your voice recording to our processing server, which passes it to Groq to turn it into text. The text then goes to Google Gemini, or to Groq if Gemini is unavailable.
What each may keep:
- Our server keeps no copy of your report content. Cloudflare keeps its operational logs, such as the time, the response status and error messages, for up to 7 days. An error message can include a short excerpt of a request or of the AI’s reply.
- Google may log prompts and responses for a limited period, which its terms do not define, to detect abuse and for any legally required disclosures.
- Groq does not store our requests or its replies. Zero data retention is on for our account, except where the law requires otherwise.
These requests are not tied to an account, so we cannot find one person’s request to delete it early. They expire on the schedules above, or later where the law requires it. To send nothing to our server, turn off Cloud AI in the app’s settings. On Android, the phone’s own speech recognition may then use Google’s or your phone maker’s servers. Both apps still download our small announcements file, which carries none of your data.
Our email list
If you joined our updates list, the unsubscribe link in every email takes you off it. We keep your address marked as unsubscribed so we do not email you again. To delete it, email us from that address. We delete your contact record at our email provider, Resend, and the signup notice in our inbox. Some traces stay. Resend’s logs of the emails we sent you clear after 30 days. If an email to you bounced or you marked one as spam, Resend keeps your address on its do-not-send list so you are not emailed again.
Messages you sent us
Messages from our contact form, and emails you send us, land in our inbox. Ask and we delete them. Resend’s copy of a contact form message expires after 30 days.
How to ask
Email contact@constructioncopilot.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and say what you want deleted. We may need to confirm the request comes from you. We reply by email when it is done and keep that reply as our record of the request.
The full details are in the Daily Report Privacy Policy and the Website Privacy Notice.
